It is so hard to not know what God may have for you in the future, but you do know that whatever God has planned out for your life is going to be the best. I will be patient and have hope in ONLY my amazing Savior! Everything in my life is given up to Him!

Knowing who God is and what he can do in my life brings encouragement and excitement to me! When I really sit down and think about it, it just blows my mind. Looking at what God has done in my life, how the timing for everything was perfect and how God gets you through obstacles is pretty cool. It is really the only good excuse for ever looking back. I feel like I focus on things that I know I should not be worried about and that takes away from the time that I should be focusing, praising, and thanking God! I struggle with wanting things and thinking that I need certain things, but all I need is Jesus and I know that with him all things are possible. I also know that God's timing for everything is absolutely perfect. So I will focus on what is more important and things will fall into place the way that God wants for me. God is all I want and need! :)

I was reading a devotion the other night, and lately I have been really struggling with my self-image and confidence and as I was reading, this sentence really struck me: there is no valid reason for a Christian to lack confidence. Something else that caught my eye was 1 Peter 3:3-4 "Your beauty should not come from outside adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." So instead of concentrating on what I look like, I really need to focus on the way that I look like on the inside. My attitude is all that is going to be really seen by those around me. So if all I have is a bad attitude because I am so concerned about my breakouts or my hair isn't laying right, I will be not being showing the light of Jesus! Really need to be focusing on letting my light shine throughout the day, especially when you have so many around you who do not have that personal relationship with God!

Turning everything completely over to God takes a lot of trust and faith, but once you do that you feel so much more at peace. Just cry out to God when you face difficulties and just put your concerns and worries into His hands.
