Trust is so important in your relationship with God and really in any relationship. But why is it that sometimes we find it easier to trust someone else and not God, even though God has never once let us down! Trusting God should be so easy but we seem to be focused on all the wrong things.
Psalm 121: 1-3
1 "I lift my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip-he who watches over you will not slumber"

I love the feeling of when you finally forgive someone and the bitterness goes away. The feeling of actually telling that person that you forgave them face to face is even better! I am so thankful for God bringing me to where I am today and teaching me how to forgive others. I am also extremely grateful for God's forgiveness because I know that none of deserves it! It truly amazes me how much God loves us!

I will never understand why it is ok for everyone else to act the way they want to, but if you are a Christian and you are living your life out for God, then they are put down. Oh well. To all who have a relationship with God: Continue to stand up for the TRUTH, which is God. " I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE.No one comes to the Father except through me" John 14:6. It takes a lot of courage to do and say the right thing, but nothing is impossible with God. Be patient with God! Patience is so hard, is it not? But while we wait for whatever it may be, we need to, of course continue to fully trust God, but also serve God and keep pressing forward! God will never fail you!

I took what I thought was the most stressful test today. I was so nervous this morning, but I was reminded constantly that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. I was on my way to school and I had gotten a new CD this week so I put it in. The song Strong Enough By: Matthew West came on and I felt more confident about taking the test and my nerves went completely away. Of course I successfully made it through the test and it was all thanks to God.

I love it when God reveals things to me. It is just another reason why I know the only thing that I really NEED is Him. Not only do I need God, but I desire to have a relationship with Him. I pray that others will turn to God, accept Him into their lives, desire to have that personal relationship, and realize that all they really need is Him!

I feel like I focus on things that I know I should not be worried about and that takes away from the time that I should be focusing, praising, and thanking God! I struggle with wanting things and thinking that I need certain things, but all I need is Jesus and I know that with him all things are possible. I also know that God's timing for everything is absolutely perfect. So I will focus on what is more important and things will fall into place the way that God wants for me. God is all I want and need! :)

I was reading a devotion the other night, and lately I have been really struggling with my self-image and confidence and as I was reading, this sentence really struck me: there is no valid reason for a Christian to lack confidence. Something else that caught my eye was 1 Peter 3:3-4 "Your beauty should not come from outside adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." So instead of concentrating on what I look like, I really need to focus on the way that I look like on the inside. My attitude is all that is going to be really seen by those around me. So if all I have is a bad attitude because I am so concerned about my breakouts or my hair isn't laying right, I will be not being showing the light of Jesus! Really need to be focusing on letting my light shine throughout the day, especially when you have so many around you who do not have that personal relationship with God!

Turning everything completely over to God takes a lot of trust and faith, but once you do that you feel so much more at peace. Just heard the saddest thing on the news. 1,400 people were killed in the Syria chemical gas attack and almost 500 them were children. I also saw a video where a mother was holding her dead children. My heart breaks when I hear that stuff like this is going on. My prayers go out to the people in Syria that have lost their loved ones.

One of my main goals is to make sure that when people see me, they see God.
